Zara Biker Trousers

Photography by Hayley

First of all let me start by wishing you all a Happy Chinese New Year!  It’s the year of the Monkey, although granted I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I’m sure it’s something both poignant and spiritual.

I’m returning to my most treasured wardrobe essential today, these zippered biker trousers.  I’ve worn them countless times as I’m sure you will have seen, and for this reason when Zara brought them out for AW15 I bought a further two pairs, y’know just in case.  For £39.99 they were worth stocking up on!  If you still haven’t managed to bag a pair of these amazing trews, fret not as I have linked an alternative at the bottom of the post.  If you have your heart set on this exact style then you’ll probably have to wait until next AW season, as I’m sure Zara will re-issue these as they are a best seller every time they hit stores, just not for summer…no one likes a sweaty crotch am right?!

Today’s look is pretty simple with just a few basic elements but it’s a look that I turn to a lot in Winter.  The biker trousers and heeled ankle boots add a sexiness which isn’t always present in my looks and it’s offset with this oversized chunky knit which gives the outfit this cosy aesthetic.  Naturally for a look with a touch of ‘bad ass’ you need a killer IT bag, enter YSL!

Yes they are my all time faves, I’ve had so much wear out of them it’s unreal, that’s why I bought back-ups haha. Thanks Vicky, just save a little every month and then treat yourself when you feel you can, that’s what I did 🙂 x

They look so good on you, i’d be far too short to pull them off

    • 9th February 2016 / 10:07 pm

If you wear them with black boots like I have done here it will create the illusion of longer legs, problem solved 😉 x

Wonderful look. I’m so in love with knitwear and leather at the moment, I think it’s perfect for winter weather even if in France there are no really winter temperature ^^

Wow Emma you look like a different person in these old posts! I have been following you recently and it is so surprising to see this different look on you.

haha yep it’s a style evolution. This was a few years ago when I was still in my 20’s so I was a bit edgier and the trend was long ombre hair x
