My apologies for such a gloomy look to start off the week but my outfits have been reflecting this dull weather we’ve been having for the last few days. Black in any case is very much a ‘go-to’ colour (if you can call it a colour) of mine, as I’m sure it is for most people. That said black still needs to be styled in a certain way to avoid looking emo/goth/boring. Textures and the cut of the pieces you choose have to be very carefully analysed when putting a black look together.
Wrap skirts have crept onto the fashion scene in a big way over the last couple of seasons and there’s just something about flashing a little bit of leg which I love. This amazing pocketed wrap skirt is definitely a must-have for your wardrobe. It’s as versatile as they come as hopefully I’m exhibiting here by dressing it down (with an edge) with a biker jacket and sandals. But it can also be dressed up for an evening with heels, and in winter a pair of thigh highs. In this look I added a khaki shirt to break up the otherwise all-black canvas and the biker jacket adds a touch of rock ‘n’ roll to the outfit. Finished off with my new Chloe Dupe (yes, another one!) which by the way comes in sooooo many different colour ways, you have to check them out here!
