Well what a week it’s been. We had the most amazing time in Tenerife but it went far too quickly for my liking!
The resort we stayed at was the Santa Barbara Golf & Ocean Club c/o Diamond Resorts International. We had an Elite suite with two bedrooms (*ahem* the best suite in the entire resort), not that we needed them but it was nice to have such a huge and luxurious accomodation! Our private terrace wrapped around the entire suite giving us the most amazing pool and sea views. It was self catering which suited us down to the ground as we just ate at different restaurants for every meal (and food is so cheap out there!) but there was an immaculate kitchen with everything that we could possibly need in our suite if we’d have wanted to dine in.
When we arrived at about 11:30am we went straight to the Ocean Breeze Terrace Bar to have a drinky poo and absorb the amazing sea views, right at that moment, I think we both just wanted to live there for ever and ever amen! Then we got changed and decided to explore. Now if you know me you’ll know that absolutely nothing comes between me and food and by this point we’d been up since 4am and I’d only eaten a Kit Kat…Emma was huuuuuungry! Making the epic mistake of skipping sun lotion (not on purpose, just purley distracted by hunger) I got changed into something more ‘Tenerife’ and we headed out to see what was along the coast. The benefit of this area is that the ocean breeze is so refreshing and keeps your body slightly cooler than when you’re cooking in the sun, the downside is that without sun protection, you can burn in about 15 minutes because you can’t feel the heat. Yeh, that was me! I never burn, I never peel, I’ve done both now…Lesson learnt!
For the next week I’ll be blogging about what I wore and what we got up to, now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going back to bed *yawwwwwwwwn*
