Marks & Spencer: Best of British

During London Fashion Week I was invited to the Best of British presentation by Marks & Spencer.  The collection consists of 54 pieces including outerwear, footwear and leather accessories, all of which have been manufactured in Britain.  Carefully selected fabrics from British suppliers have been used to create each piece of the collection; knitwear from Scotland, shoes from Northamptonshire and outerwear from Manchester.  Now while this collection celebrates high quality and design with luxurious finishes the opening price point is only £59!  M&S say this about their AW14 inspo: ‘Autumn 14 sees jacquard florals meet herringbone in a fusion of modernity and the traditional.  A strong silhouette, bold print and superior attention to detail underpin the spirit of this collection.  Earthy hues and vivid colour highlights define the palette, as soft navy and warm rust are offset with hot red and royal blue in a luxurious and vibrant autumn representation’.  I have to also mention the simple and yet gorgeous hair & make-up which to me just screams British!  A low pony with a side part and slight volume at the crown paired with a matte red lip; so simple yet very effective!  I filmed the whole presentation on my Nokia Lumia 1020 so you can see how the fabrics move and see how the pieces work as a collection.  Check out my video below…
