F&F SS14 Press Day – Wowza!

In the depths of The Vinyl Factory on Marshall Street, my shrieks of excitement were emitted at such a pitch, only dogs could hear me!  The F&F press day was by far the best I’ve seen this press-day-season.  It’s certainly by far the most dramatic transformation of a brand.  I took so many pictures because I knew I had to share this pure awesomeness with you all so please take a moment to check them out and we can share our excitement together.
As I hopped from rail to rail, there wasn’t one piece I didn’t immediately ‘WANT!, ‘NEED!’…’Urgh I’m going to die if I don’t have this in my life!’.  At one point when I started taking note of the prices I actually shouted out ‘This is £12 people….£12!’ when I picked up a top.  I don’t really know where to begin because the entire collection was just incredible.  I was shown by the lovely Holly (A PR for Maverick) to a rail she thought would be right up my street (She wasn’t wrong!) which was filled with pastels, lace, twin sets and a-lines.  I could quite happily live my life in F&F next season!  Particular faves on mine include the baby blue matching set of crop top and pencil skirt with the broderie anglais sheer overlay, very Louis Vuitton circa SS12.  The nude/blush tailored blazer and city shorts are also going straight to the top of my wish list, as soon as I can get my legs out in Spring, I’ll be donning that ensemble!  I hope you’ve all taken note of the spring version of ‘The Pink Coat’, this is an absolute must-have for me, I’ve gone a little cray cray for pink coats this season, so one more won’t hurt surely?!  Moving away from pastels we also have a rather tribal, street style collection and my hero pieces from that rail were the bright orange jumpsuit and the Wang-esque black long sleeve jumper with sheer panels.  The geo, bold colour collection is also pretty fab, with checks, monochrome and 60’s inspired key pieces.  I love the square printed crop top and skirt, the chartreuse  simple shift dress and the structured spring coat with block panels.  Now it wouldn’t be a Spring/Summer collection without some florals and bold colour injection, enter the neon cropped jacket (Oh sweet baby Jesus I must have this!).  For those festival goers out there, check out the heavily beaded fringed kimono (I believe is set to retail for around £45), now if that’s not Glasto-set attire, I haven’t a jimmy what is!  There’s a promising range of swim and beach wear too, I’m personally loving the flamingo star tote bag, someone just needs to offer me a free holiday!  As always their underwear collection is beautiful and such amazing value, I’ve fallen for the baby pink lace body…you know, to just wear around the house, LOL!
I genuinely am so excited about this entire collection and I hope that translates in this post!  I am after all a high street girl through and through and I really enjoy seeing brands like F&F transform into something really quite special.  I can’t wait for this collection to drop, and I hope you’re all eager beavers too!  I feel like there’s so much I want to say about the collection but I think the best option is to just check out my pictures, so enjoy!
