Jewellery Favourites

Photography by Simon Creasey

I mentioned the idea of filming a Jewellery Lookbook for my YouTube Channel and you guys were very keen for that to happen which is great because Jewellery is a big passion of mine.  Simon and I have drawn up our video schedule for the next couple of months so we will of course fit that in where we can but in the mean time I just wanted to share my current Jewellery Favourites with you guys.  These are the pieces (some new, some not so new) that I've been wearing this side of the new year.  I love how jewellery can completely transform an outfit and there's so much choice out there, so many new emerging brands, it's now become a huge part of how I express my personal style.

Love love love your collection and can’t wait for the lookbook video! I can leave the house without makeup but never without jewellery; that makes me feel so naked! I personally like to mix vintage pieces with ‘trendy’ pieces. X

Lovely jewellery collection I’ve got my eye on the Monica vinader bead friendship bracelet and love all the new earrings you’re wearing Maria tash and ( shashi can you get in Uk or just in US ?)
I’ve just also discovered and bought Muru Talisman jewellery and they have some nice pieces too x x

    • 22nd January 2018 / 9:43 pm

So far I’ve only been able to find Shashi in the States but I spent over £100 on a few pairs and the customs charge was only £14 so not that bad in comparison to other brands

I love this post! Honestly I think jewellery is sooo amazing, especially when I love wearing basic outfits – gold jewellery especially just adds an extra something to every outfit! And I second the hair video!! X

    • 22nd January 2018 / 9:44 pm

It really does, and don’t worry, I’ll definitely bring you guys that hair video x

I went through a phase where I was wearing big pieces of costume jewellery and then got so bored of that so now not wearing any. Your pics have me revisiting my smaller pieces. Will also check out brands mentioned. Thank you, Merja

    • 22nd January 2018 / 9:48 pm

I went through a similar phase a few years ago when statement jewellery was a huge trend but it’s just not my style. I’m much more suited to smaller pieces, but layer them up x

I had lost my confidence in how to dress. Since coming across your you tube videos (which I’ve binged watched!) I feel inspired to invest in a capsule wardrobe, topped off with some nice Cinco pieces. Sounds very cheesy, but you have really inspired me & now have my shopping mojo back!

Thank you Emma (and Simon) xx

Ahhh Nicola that’s so amazing to hear and I’m absolutely honoured that I’ve provided some inspo to get that mojo of yours back x

Do you find the gold in your pieces discolour? I love these brands jewellery but majority of them are either plated or gold vermeil and not solid gold. Just wondering how careful you have to be with them and if it’s been an issue as they’ve aged?
    Thanks so much!

    • 10th February 2018 / 2:54 pm

This will all depend on the individual. I am quite careful with my jewellery, so I don’t get it wet (don’t shower or swim in pieces, take rings off when washing hands etc) and I don’t ever spray perfume on them because this can also tarnish jewellery. After that point it comes down to the acidity of your skin as everyone is different. I must not have very acidic skin because my jewellery is like new, even some of my pieces which are over 2 years old, but just because this has happened to me, doesn’t mean it will be the same for everyone x

Hi love! Amazing blogpost. <3 What camera and lens do you use for shots like these? 🙂

Hi, Emma, love you jewellery collection! Now I think I need a Missoma horn necklace in my life. Could you please tell me how long the gold plating last on their jewellery?

    • 7th April 2018 / 1:54 pm

it really depends on your skin, every person has a different acidity to their skin, some are more acid than others and so therefore the plating will tarnish quicker. If you get them wet or spray perfume on them this can also damage the plating so there’s no real answer, mine has last 2 years with almost every day wear before I started to notice any tarnishing x

I love when you do posts like this!! I´m having a hard time trying to decide wheter I should go for gold or silver jewellery. I´ve always been a silver girl but latley I have been sucked into the world or golden earrings.
I know that if i really wanna get a good collection in my jewellery closet I need to decide between gold and silver but how do I do that?

Do you have any tips on how to choose? Maybe skin, hair and style plays a role?

Anyways, thanks for the amazing content you post. Love it!
(I actually just yeterday got started with my own blog because of your youtube video about it. So nervous!)

    Hey Emma,

love your eye for fine jewellery!

You also have a selection of great watches. Cartier, Larsson & Jennings, Rosefield, …

Could you do a Youtube video on your favorite watches in different price segments and one review on your Cartier watch?

    Would be really interested. *___*
