Top 5 Satin Camisoles

Photography by Simon Creasey

1 Mango

This should technically be in my 'Wardrobe Staples' series because a black satin (lace or no lace) camisole should be in every girls' wardrobe. FACT.  I recently updated my black cami with this one from Mango (also available in cream).  I love the look of layering something super casual over the top like an oversized cardigan and of course adorning the neckline with some gold jewellery.  A cami works equally as well under a blazer for a super chic look and for evening/date night, lose the blazer and tuck the cami into a pair of high waisted skinny jeans...a look that oozes effortless sex appeal.

2 NA-KD

NA-KD is probably the best site for buying a satin cami because they have so many to choose from and in a range of colours.  I recently bought this navy satin spaghetti strap cami to add to my cami collection.  It looks great tucked into a pair of mid wash jeans and the deep v-neckline is super sexy.

3 OtherStories

Maybe you fancy something a little different, perhaps 'plain' ain't your thang, in which case you might like this monochrome satin cami from OtherStories.  The vertical stripes are slimming and also forgiving on a larger bust.  I would wear this with a pair of skinny jeans or tucked in a pair of leather trousers or a leather skirt.

4 Reformation

I haven't spoken about this brand yet but I'm fast becoming pretty darn obsessed with it.  Some of you may have already heard about Reformation because they are paving the way for sustainable fashion within the industry.  They are an LA based brand (obviously that's why they're so darn cool) with a range of cute tops, dresses, blazers, slogan t-shirts and even denim all created with sustainable fabrics and via sustainable methods.  They are the future of fashion and for that reason this beautiful Ivory satin vest (also available in Black and Rose) has to make my top 5.

5 Stradavarius

Ok so I'm not a huge fan of the styling from Stradavarius here but I can appreciate the idea of layering that they're trying to convey.  Cami tops can look great layered over a basic t-shirt or even a classic white shirt.  This olive green satin cami with contrasting black lace trim comes in at number 5 in this week's Top 5.
