A Touch of Red

I've always made my feelings about colour pretty clear, colour scares me.  I experimented A LOT with colour when I was a teenager and even into my early 20's and the early days of the blog, and I think that these days have scarred me for life.  That said I always feel a little more inclined to play with colour during the summer months and I've recently established that red is a good colour.

I picked up this bohemian looking red blouse last week and immediately threw it on with a distressed (obvs) denim skirt, from there on in it was love.  I bought a couple more red tops (coming soon) and all of a sudden I was filled with a million more outfit ideas.  My rule of thumb is never say never, and of course I know there are some colours and some styles that don't suit me but I'll always give something a try in the changing room first before dismissing it.

I have picked up a couple of red blouses over the past six months for the same reason. I went through crazy colour and print phases and took them all out of my wardrobe but adding some back in now makes me happier. I love red and the faded vintage wash denim together.

Yeh it’s nice to not be too overwhelmed by colour, unless colour is your thing of course, but for me I just like the odd splash here and there when I’m feeling in a more colourful mood x

I can completely relate! colour can sometimes be an enemy of mine. Having said that, Istill find myself dabbling in a bit of colour here and there.
