Hey guys! So London Fashion week is now in full swing and as I’m writing this my feet are soaking in a foot spa heavily dosed with sea salt to heel my wounds. Day 1 was actually rather a quiet one for me in comparison to past seasons so I did have a some time to have a hot chocolate break…and also maybe a sneaky McDonalds break 😉 Highlight of the day? Catching up with my bestie Claire who I haven’t seen in over 2 months! Our jaws ached by the time parted company at the end of the day. I hadn’t realised how much I missed her until I had my buddy, confidant and giggle maker back.
Claire’s Snapchat is legendary, so do go and follow her (@iamchouquette) because she has the best personality in the world, ever! Oh and she pranks me on a regular basis which I’m sure you will all find amusing at my expense, yes lol’s all round!
I’m sure you all want to know what I wore for yesterdays events so here you have it. I went for a chic tailored grey coat by Joseph with a feminine silk pussy bow blouse (Karl Lagerfeld) and these Topshop straight leg jeans (my current faves!). Prada sunglasses, Givenchy bag, Zara shoes and a bouncy blow dry courtesy of Sassoon Salons all accessorised the look. I just wanted something chic and comfortable without any fuss and so thats what I wore.
I think there can be a temptation to go a little crazy at Fashion Week, either with spending insane amounts of money on new pieces or just being a little too ambitious with a certain trend or trends, I know I’ve been guilty of doing both of these in past seasons! But now at age 30, I know I want comfort (ok minus those darn shoes, well probably minus ANY shoes), classic statement pieces which are well made and high quality and to remain true to my own style. Each fashion season is a learning curve and I’m sure in September I’ll have a new outlook.
