Spring Trends Styled Now

Granted since I shot this look the weather has taken a rather shocking turn into the below 10 degrees region so lets just imagine that I have a coat waiting on standby.  As I have been discussing over the last few outfit posts I am already gearing up for next season and the trends that lie ahead.  One of my favourite Spring looks, when it is warm enough to discard the coat, is layering a knit over a crisp white shirt.  The white shirt is a must-have for SS16 and in my opinion, a must-have for all wardrobes full stop!  It’s a very preppy way of layering so in today’s look I’ve layered this navy jumper (which btw I bought in a size 16 so it would be oversized like this) over a Boyfriend fit shirt.  The boyfriend fit shirts are ideal for creating this kind of look because they are longer in length so they will poke out of the bottom of your chosen knit.

Time for Glove Shoes round two because as I mentioned in my last OOTD post, they are going to be huge next season, so naturally I have already started collecting them.  These grey leather mid heels are from Topshop (also available in black and gold) and they are beyond comfortable, the leather is so soft and supple and they fit like, well, gloves.  But guys they are selling out super fast, remember the Cos ones I mentioned that sold out in record time well the Asos ones I wore in my last post have already sold out and these Toppers ones are going quick too so don’t be haunted by the things you didn’t buy and snap up a pair quick sharp!

Such a good idea to get a big size in the jumper! I wouldn’t have thought to do that, great tip! Also can I ask how you colour your hair like that? x

Thanks Christine! I often size up in a lot of things (I will always mention if I do in the post) just so they are nice and slouchy 🙂 My hair is done with the balayage method and I visit Sassoon to have this done, I have tried DIY’ing this and it wasn’t a bad attempt but sometimes it’s best to let the professionals do their thang x

Love this trend, the shoes are such a good way to make the outfit so chic, wish it was warm and dry enough to be worn now!
