The Aviator Jacket

It’s been a good three months since I bought this Zara aviator jacket and I can definitely say I’ve got my monies worth out of it!  Now the weather is starting to turn super cold, I wear it almost every day and it keeps me so warm whilst Im out and about in London.  If you didn’t manage to get your hands on one then I have linked some similar alternatives at the bottom of the post but in all honesty, you can’t really beat Zara for affordable quality, so if you manage to spot one in a Zara store (sold out online sorry guys) then grab it!  The beauty about this jacket is that it’s more of a wool fabric rather than a faux suede, which can sometimes look and feel a bit cheap.  Naturally if you can stretch to a genuine shearling jacket then go for it but as we all know, they can be pretty pricey, even if you are choosing ASOS over Acne 😉  The faux shearling inside this coat is also amazing quality and you can tell just by the weight.  In my opinion something that needs to keep you warm should never be light as air, because it ain’t gonna do the job!
My only wish is that Zara made this beaut in Black as well this season!

I agree with you on the fake suede! So many bloggers are advertising those really cheap looking aviator jackets and I was completely sucked in and bought one. When it arrived it was cheap in every way, smell, feel and weight like you mention here. I sent it straight back! I would rather save and pay a little bit more for a better quality jacket. Thank you for your honesty, it’s tough to find bloggers like that these days as they are clearly being paid to promote companies.

Hi Shaz, I am finding that I’d rather save and spend a little more on a lot of things these days but you really do notice the difference. I have to admit that I too am paid by brands for certain collaborations but I only endorse brands and products that I would actually buy myself and I will always give you guys my honest opinion. Sorry to hear what happened with the jacket, keep an eye out for this Zara one, it’s great value for money 🙂 x

I know what you mean about the quality of that zara jacket. There was a couple of reasons that i didn’t buy it, mainly the colour..iv got to ask, have you machine washed it ?? I cant be bothered with dry cleaning, its expensive and a faff. Hopefully zara will do a black one next year

I haven’t actually needed to wash it yet but when I do I’m definitely going to bung it in the washing machine so I’ll let you know how that turns out lol! I have certain things dry cleaned which I have spent a sickening amount of money on, just to protect my investment, but on something from Zara I wouldn’t bother with dry cleaning x

Nooooo! If you’re in a Zara it’s always worth asking someone to check the the stockroom because I used to work for Zara as a store manager for a good few years and things can often be ‘hidden’ in stock rooms, or if there’s only 1 or 2 of a certain thing left, they are removed from the shop floor because there aren’t enough to make the display look appealing, so you never know, you might just be lucky! x

It’s a tough choice! Just watch out for quality if you’re thinking about buying one of these ‘cheaper’ ones, as in one of the comments above, you’ll see they aren’t that great x
