The Blanket Cape

If you thought the Blanket Cape had been and gone, think again.  Oddly enough the current climate here in London is incredibly mild for December, so I’m taking advantage of this in the sartorial sense.

In other news, today Simon and I are off to pick up our new car, it’s not a fancy pants Mercedes or anything, just a rather practical 5 door hatchback, but it’s brand new and it’s ours so it’s all very exciting.  It’s getting quite strange now when we go shopping for certain things (i.e. cars) because we are planning for the near future and a second thought has to enter our minds of ‘will this be child friendly?’.  There would have been a time when I chose a car purely based on it’s ‘cuteness’ but when selecting this one, we were assessing if there was enough room for a buggy in the boot, legroom in the back for ‘little legs’ and if it was safe and reliable…you know, all that boring grown up stuff.  Times are changing.

Oh to have a pair of those Highland boots! A bit late to ask Santa now, maybe next year!
