Well today’s post is certainly something different to what I normally post 😉 Boobs and bum are out, apologies in advance! As you may know I’m getting married in September and I had no idea what it entailed to plan a wedding, it is stressful! That said, we’re speeding to the big day now and it’s all the little things which I’m enjoying organising and making. Most of my wedding related posts and how-to’s will go live after the wedding because I don’t want to give too much away before the day itself but I am happy to say that I will be sharing the big day and the build up with you all across all of my social channels (call me the social bride!) so please do follow along for the mayhem that will ensue and obviously to see THE dress!
Today the focus is bridal lingerie, if you hadn’t already guessed, and I teamed up with M&S to show you some amazing pieces which they currently have in store and online. Lingerie was yet another fine detail of the big day that I had completely overlooked, “Do I need underwear?”, turns out, yes, you do. FYI: Commando Bride…totally frowned upon. The Rosie for Autograph range has always been a firm favourite of mine and with the luxurious silk fabrics and lacy details it makes for the perfect bridal undergarms.
I picked out this silk bra and knickers set (sold separately) which are the perfect bridal pairing, however if you’re dress doesn’t allow such a bra, perhaps you need strapless, then there are some great alternatives in the range. The knickers are a Brazilian cut and are so comfortable, no one wants to be rummaging around in the bustle of their wedding dress trying to rearrange a thong, I’m not about that life! The silk teddy was instantly a must-have when I saw it. In summer I always discard my barrage of fleece pj’s and opt for a teddy as nightwear because they are so cooling and they make you feel a whole lot sexier than those penguin motif, passion killers you call your fave pj’s! The blush silk teddy would be perfect for wearing as your ‘getting ready for the big day’ attire, paired with a robe loosely tied like this one. It’ll keep you cool if like me you become a sweaty betty when nervous, and you’ll also look super hot, and what Bride doesn’t want that on her bid day right?
I hope if you’re a bride that I’ve inspired you in some way or simply reinforced the fact that undies are required on your wedding day, darn it!
If you’re looking for more bridal inspo check out my blogger bestie Claire, as she’s also getting married this summer and is creating posts of the wedding nature too!
Thanks must be paid to the mothership for sending me her veil which I used in this post.
