It may be Spring but that doesn’t mean I’ve abandoned my love of all things black. I’m switching it up today and ditching the 70’s casual looks I’ve been loving recently, and this is just a reflection of how my style varies from day to day depending on how I’m feeling. But by no means does this all black ensemble mean that I’ve slipped into ‘doom mode’! When it comes to styling my looks my method can vary, sometimes I have an idea for a whole outfit in my head and in other instances I start with one key piece and build the outfit around that, experimenting as I’m putting it together. This is exactly what happened with today’s look, I picked up this fringed skirt without thinking about what I would wear it with, it was impulsive but that’s part of the fun of styling an outfit, a challenge and playing sesh. I recently created a board on Pinterest of all-black looks and using that as my inspo I raided my wardrobe for black pieces. I tried basic tees, shirts and blazers but I wasn’t ‘feeling’ the looks as a whole. I got this fabulous Acne-style jumper a few weeks back and as soon as I put it on, the look was complete. Just add in some killer black ankle boots and this incredible Saint Laurent clutch (nabbed from my friend Claire, who has the most insane handbag collection everrrrrr!) and this rather simplistic, mainly high street look in a winner!
